Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore ”Pacinotti”

La scuola si presenta:
L’Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale “A. Pacinotti” nasce nell’anno scolastico 1976/77 quando, in seguito all’aumento della popolazione scolastica, vengono creati nuovi Istituti e si sdoppiano quelli esistenti.
Diversamente da altre realtà locali il “Pacinotti” nasce in condizioni di privilegio poiché, dopo un periodo di pochissimi anni durante i quali utilizza una struttura provvisoria, nei primissimi anni ’80 viene ospitato in un moderno edificio realizzato ad hoc lungo una delle principali arterie di scorrimento della città.
Nei suoi primi anni di vita viene attivata la specializzazione di Elettrotecnica e, successivamente, quella di Informatica mentre, sotto la guida del Preside Scherma, vengono avviate la specializzazioni di Chimica ed Ambra.
A metà degli anni 90 l’Istituto avviò una profonda opera di ristrutturazione ed ammodernamento dei Laboratori soprattutto di Informatica per rispondere meglio ai profondi e rapidi mutamenti che in quel settore avvenivano proprio in quegli anni; e fu proprio questa specializzazione, prima ed unica nella città, a dare un forte impulso alla consistenza numerica degli alunni dell’Istituto che in quei giorni contava quasi 1.000 iscritti.
Ultima arrivata in quegli anni, ma di grande interesse per il futuro, fu la specializzazione in Tecnologie alimentari che pose l’Istituto in posizione di avanguardia nel terziario avanzato ed in un settore nel quale si prevevano forti sviluppi nella Nostra provincia.
Dall’a.s. 2009-2010 l’Istituto arricchiva l’offerta formativa e creava per gli studenti opportunità di apprendimento oltre le normali attività curriculari, avviando un processo di internazionalizzazione che vide i nostri studenti collaborare con scuole di diverse nazionalità europee ed extraeuropee.
Le specializzazioni oggi disponibili, dopo la riforma degli Istituti Tecnici, sono:

ELETTRONICA ED ELETTROTECNICA (Elettrotecnica – Automazione),
AGRARIA, AGROALIMENTARE E AGROINDUSTRIA (Produzioni e Trasformazioni),
CHIMICA, MATERIALI E BIOTECNOLOGIE (Chimica e Materiali – Biotecnologie ambientali),
COSTRUZIONI AMBIENTE E TERRITORIO.
