Il programma di formazione “Pestalozzi” per professionisti nel settore dell’istruzione rientra tra le attività del Consiglio d’Europa.
Nasce nel 1969 nel quadro della Convenzione Culturale Europea e si rivolge al personale delle scuole primarie e secondarie (insegnanti, presidi, ispettori scolastici, consulenti didattici, formatori degli insegnanti e autori di testi scolastici) dei 49 stati firmatari della Convenzione.
Il programma “Pestalozzi” è gestito dalla Divisione per la Dimensione Europea dell’istruzione nel quadro della Direzione Generale IV “Istruzione, Cultura e Patrimonio, Gioventù e Sport” del Consiglio d’Europa e da una rete di responsabili nazionali – National Liaison Officers (NLO) – negli stati firmatari.
Nel quadro di questo programma vengono organizzati annualmente a Strasburgo o negli Stati membri circa 20-30 eventi di formazione (da 1 a 5 giorni), per un totale di circa 1000 prefessionisti nel settore dell’istruzione.
OBIETTIVI DEL POGRAMMA PESTALOZZI
I principali obiettivi del programma sono i seguenti:
– formare professionisti nel settore dell’istruzione per diventare moltiplicatori dei principi del Consiglio d’Europa;
– sviluppare le competenze trasversali e la conoscenza necessarie per società democratiche sostenibili;
– promuovere e creare una pedagogia appropriata ed efficace;
– innescare e monitorare un processo “a cascata” a livello nazionale;
– mettere in rete i professionisti dell’istruzione – come professione chiave – in tutta Europa in una comunità di buone prassi intorno ai principi e i valori del Consiglio d’Europa.
I diversi temi dei workshop europei sono strettamente collegati ai progetti prioritari del Consiglio d’Europa.
I responsabili nazionali in ciascun Stato firmatario – National Liaison Officers (NLO) – sono incaricati di diffondere l’elenco dei workshop europei del programma “Pestalozzi” con le relative scadenze.
Questo elenco viene pubblicato due volte l’anno a Maggio e Dicembre, ed è inoltre disponibile sul sito web del Consiglio d’Europa.
