Nella sua lunga storia l’istituto si è dotato di laboratori scientifici di pregio, ha rimodulato la didattica anche attraverso un utilizzo funzionale delle nuove tecnologie, ha guardato con sempre maggiore interesse alla dimensione europea con una crescente attenzione all’approfondimento delle lingue, è uscito dall’autoreferenzialità, aprendosi al dialogo con il territorio nelle sue diverse componenti e con le più qualificate Università e agenzie formative in ambito nazionale ed internazionale.
Perché il Liceo Rummo ha accolto con convinzione la richiesta di ospitalità di una tappa dell’Educational Tour di Italia Orienta? La risposta è nella visione che l’istituto ha della formazione dei suoi studenti e, conseguentemente, nell’ impostazione dell’intero curricolo finalizzata all’acquisizione di competenze consolidate, esperte e spendibili.
Tra gli obiettivi formativi, quindi, il sapersi autorientare, ovvero possedere tutti gli strumenti utili per compiere scelte consapevoli, autonome e responsabili è quello che tutti gli studenti in uscita, non uno di meno, devono dimostrare di aver conseguito.
Un’intensa giornata di conoscenza e approfondimento degli scenari socio-economici e dei trend di sviluppo, di presentazione dell’intero ventaglio dell’ offerta accademica e con la possibilità di colloqui di orientamento per gli indecisi è parsa, pertanto, occasione da non far perdere né agli studenti del liceo né a quelli degli altri istituti della provincia di Benevento.
La scuola si presenta:
Il Liceo Scientifico “Gaetano Rummo”, opera in Benevento dal 1923, anno di istituzione dei Licei Scientifici in Italia.
La lunga tradizione inizialmente lo ha visto svolgere un ruolo preminente nella formazione di professionisti che hanno contribuito allo sviluppo del Sannio e, successivamente, lo ha consolidato come polo scientifico di riferimento per la costante attenzione alla ricerca ed all’innovazione.
Nell’anno scolastico in corso è stato istituito, con la Riforma dei Licei, il Liceo Scientifico ad indirizzo Sportivo in collaborazione con il CONI.
Dal piano di studi emerge una ripartizione tra discipline curriculari e discipline sportive supportate da esperti esterni. Sono molteplici le attività dell’Istituto: i progetti educativi con educazione alla legalità, ambiente, salute, stradale, interculturalità, Patente 50cc, Licenza Autocad. E ancora certificazione linguistica, stage all’estero per lo studio della lingua straniera e la partecipazione alle Olimpiadi disciplinari.
Grande attenzione è posta per offrire agli studenti un piano di orientamento formativo attraverso protocolli d’intesa con le università, partecipazione a conferenze, convegni e seminari d’indirizzo.
