“Diventare cittadini europei” è il concorso che invita gli studenti a riflettere su iniziative e celebrazioni promosse dalle istituzioni europee, che influiscono sulla vita dei cittadini ed, in particolare, dei giovani.
L’obiettivo, inoltre, è sollecitare i giovani a documentarsi sul passato, l’attualità e il futuro del processo d’integrazione dell’Europa e a riscoprirla come risposta ai loro bisogni e alle loro aspettative.
L’ iniziativa è promossa da: Associazione Italiana per il Consiglio dei Comuni e delle Regioni d’Europa (AICCRE); Consiglio Italiano del Movimento Europeo (CIME), in collaborazione con: Association Europeenne des Enseignants (AEDE) − Centro Italiano di Formazione Europea (CIFE) − Europe Direct Pescara − Movimento Federalista Europeo

Tutti gli studenti delle scuole secondarie (di 1° e 2° grado) di ogni parte d’Italia.
I partecipanti al concorso sono invitati a redigere o realizzare, un articolo (anche in forma di intervista), un saggio breve, un manifesto o un video sulla base di una delle seguenti tracce:
- Il 2015 sarà “L’Anno europeo per lo sviluppo”, un occasione per informare, promuovere la partecipazione diretta, il pensiero critico e l’interesse attivo dei cittadini UE e delle altre parti interessate in materia di cooperazione allo sviluppo e quindi sul ruolo importante che già oggi l’Unione europea esercita con questa forma particolare di solidarietà e secondo il motto “Il nostro mondo, la nostra dignità, il nostro futuro”. Condividi l’importanza del tema e come vorresti fossero migliorate le politiche europee rivolte verso i Paesi meno sviluppati del pianeta.
- Verso la fine 2015 a Parigi si svolgerà una importantissima conferenza mondiale sul clima (COP21). Si rifletta su quale potrebbe essere l’atteggiamento, la strategia e le politiche che le istituzioni e gli Stati dell’UE dovrebbero sostenere per affrontare più efficacemente la problematica del cambiamento climatico e del deterioramento ambientale che sta impattando in modo sempre più drammatico sulla nostra vita?
- Nel 2015 saranno passati 70 anni dalla fine della II Guerra Mondiale e quindi anche dall’inizio delle azioni politiche che alcuni pionieri, quali Altiero Spinelli, hanno saputo portare avanti promuovendo l’inizio del processo di integrazione europea come innovativo progetto di pace, benessere e democrazia. Cosa rappresenta, invece, oggi questa realtà per i giovani cittadini europei e come essi ritengono di poter diventare loro stessi portatori di ideali e valori e proposte in grado di influire sui futuri sviluppi a livello mondiale.
