Una scuola che “orienta” è una scuola che pone uno studente nella condizione di credere in se stesso, saper affrontare e risolvere problemi, sapersi relazionare con gli altri ed effettuare scelte consapevoli. Per fare ciò una scuola deve immergere lo studente nella realtà del territorio e permettere ai ragazzi di sviluppare competenze adeguate alle sue richieste.
Con il progetto Alternanza Scuola-Lavoro, struttura portante del Piano dell’Offerta Formativa, l’IIS Casagrande Cesi organizza stage e conferenze informative, simulazioni d’impresa, progetti nazionali e locali in rete con scuole, aziende, enti pubblici, privati, centri multimediali, banche. Gli studenti vi possono conseguire l’ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence o Patente europea del computer) Core/Advanced, la certificazione per le lingue straniere (PET/ FIRST CERTIFICATE).
La trasformazione sociale e territoriale più recente spinge oggi la scuola a ideare progetti tesi allo sviluppo negli studenti di una mentalità orientata al rispetto della persona, all’accettazione ed integrazione della diversità, con forte attenzione al rispetto dell’ambiente, alla lotta allo speco di risorse, al recupero e riciclo dei materiali utilizzati nella scuola.
Tutto ciò è confluito nel progetto Peer Tutoring, che coinvolge i ragazzi nella gestione delle tematiche relazionali, nel controllo di fenomeni quali bullismo, vandalismo, abbandono scolastico, disaffezione, ma anche in attività di volontariato attivo e nel progetto Educazione alla legalità, che mira a sviluppare senso di appartenenza alle istituzioni e cittadinanza attiva. Sul fronte della tematica della solidarietà, la scuola si è proposta in prima linea con l’organizzazione di campi in collaborazione con la Protezione Civile in occasione sia del sisma in Abruzzo, che in quello più recente in Emilia.
Per quanto riguarda il settore turismo-ristorazione, la scuola ha effettuato scelte qualitative per la promozione della produzione alimentare locale e stagionale (Km0), l’organizzazione di eventi tematici con la collaborazione di importanti chef del panorama umbro e nazionale.
La scuola si presenta
L’IIS “Casagrande Cesi” comprende:
– l’Istituto Tecnico Commerciale “Federico Cesi” (Indirizzi: Amministrazione, Finanza e Marketing e Turismo)
– l’Istituto professionale “Alessandro Casagrande”( Indirizzi: Servizi per l’enogastronomia e l’ospitalità alberghiera, Servizi commerciali, Servizi socio-sanitari).
Le due scuole coprono una ampia gamma di servizi alle imprese e alle persone, settore per cui esiste maggiore richiesta di personale sul mercato del lavoro.
Moderne e aggiornate (rete wireless/connessione Internet in tutti i laboratori/servizio online di comunicazione alle famiglie) vogliono offrire agli studenti tutte le possibilità per inserirsi agevolmente nel mondo del lavoro in quanto danno accesso a tutti i concorsi pubblici che richiedono il diploma d’istruzione secondaria superiore; offrono la chance di inserimento immediato, dopo il diploma, in studi commerciali, assicurativi, aziende pubbliche e private, negozi, grandi magazzini, strutture ricettive e ristorative del territorio; danno altresì la possibilità di accedere alle maggiori facoltà universitarie.
Le principali facoltà universitarie scelte sono: Economia e Commercio (titolo attualmente più richiesto dal mercato del lavoro-Excelsior), Giurisprudenza, Ingegneria informatica, Lingue, Infermieristica, Indirizzi parasanitari, Fisioterapia, Tecnica radiologica.
