L’orientamento riveste un’importanza fondamentale per affrontare il post – diploma sia nel mondo del lavoro che nel proseguimento degli studi. L’Istituto è aperto agli incontri con le Università e il mondo del lavoro con conferenze, convegni ecc.
I progetti attuati all’interno dell’Istituto sono molteplici e ricoprono vari ambiti.
Le attività proposte intendono integrare il bagaglio culturale offerto dal piano di studi curricolari, favorire la conoscenza e la collaborazione tra studenti di classi e corsi diversi all’interno della scuola. Soddisfare eventuali bisogni individuali attraverso momenti dedicati all’informazione e alla consulenza.
La scuola si presenta
L’istituto di Istruzione superiore “G. Bonfantini” è il polo di Istruzione agraria della provincia di Novara, raggruppa tre sedi: le sezioni associate dell’Istituto Tecnico Agrario di Novara e Romagnano Sesia e la sezione Professionale agricoltura e ambiente di Solcio di Lesa, per un’utenza di oltre 800 alunni.
Annesso all’Istituto vi sono:
il centro Agro-Zotecnico Pilota, che può contare su una superficie coltivabile di circa 40 ha, oltre ad una stalla in cui si allevano bovini di razza piemontese, magazzini, abitazioni per il personale, locali per il ricovero e la manutenzione di macchine e attrezzi, aule e laboratori.
Il giardino Botanico è una raccolta di piante coltivate e di ambienti naturali ricostruiti che occupano una superficie di circa 3 ha e che ospitano circa 300 specie botaniche tra alberi, arbusti ed erbacee provenienti da diverse parti del mondo. sono rappresentati collezioni tematiche di piante quali l’arboreto, il querco-carpineto, il querco-olmeto, il bosco igrofilo, la zona umica, la brughiera e un percorso biblico
il frutteto didattico con filari di piante da frutto tipiche del panorama agricolo italiano quali meli, peri, peschi, actinidia e piccoli frutti.
l’orto didattico, oltre alle coltivazioni a cielo aperto, si avvale anche di tunnel freddo per la coltivazione invernale degli ortaggi.
Strutture per lo sport quali palestra con attrezzature ginniche, campo da calcio e campo da basket.
