Il momento del diploma non è che il punto di partenza verso un futuro oggi più che mai complesso, incerto e fonte di grande preoccupazione. Di qui la necessità, da parte dell’ Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore “Luigi di Savoia” di Rieti, di attivarsi per fornire ai diplomandi strumenti di conoscenza finalizzati ad una scelta matura del proprio domani.
Mostrare ai giovani un ampio ventaglio di opportunità sia di studio, sia lavorative, modulandole sulle loro specifiche attitudini ed esigenze è ciò che costituisce lo spirito stesso dell’orientamento.
La nostra scuola, ben conscia della necessità di tutto ciò, ha da tempo intrapreso un percorso in tal senso, formulando progetti d’intesa con importanti Enti ed associazioni esterne finalizzati all’instaurazione di un rapporto sempre più proficuo tra scuola e mondo de l lavoro e, di conseguenza, ad una valorizzazione del titolo di studio che acquista sempre più valenza, perché realmente professionalizzante.
Il nostro Istituto, proprio per la sua specificità tecnico-economico-linguistica è ben consapevole della necessità di gettare un ponte tra l’istruzione superiore e il proseguimento verso gli studi universitari finalizzati alla piena realizzazione professionale e culturale dello studente, ma anche verso il mondo del lavoro e delle professioni qualificanti.

La recente riforma della scuola superiore da parte del Ministero, ha inteso favorire spazi di alternanza scuola-lavoro, in un’ottica di sempre maggiore autonomia e flessibilità delle scuole.
Tra le iniziative dell’Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore “Luigi di Savoia” di Rieti, il progetto “Second chance for school”, un progetto in rete finanziato dal MIUR a cui partecipano la Camera di Commercio di Rieti l’AIM (agenzia intercultura e mobilità) il CNR-CERIS (istituto di ricerca sull’impresa e lo sviluppo) e la CNA (confederazione nazionale dell’artigianato e piccole e medie imprese), con l’obiettivo di stimolare gli studenti ad una maggiore motivazione allo studio e all’approfondimento di competenze spendibili nel mondo del lavoro.
Molte altre iniziative quali stages aziendali sul territorio, progetti linguistici anche in collaborazione con Enti stranieri (British Council, Alliance Française, ecc.), testimoniano la sensibilità della scuola e il suo fattivo impegno verso quella delicata fase di passaggio dalle aule scolastiche alle aule universitarie, alle aziende, alle libere professioni.
