L‘ITC “V.Veneto–Salvemini“ coniuga la tradizione a un forte interesse per il mondo contemporaneo, il rigore al gusto del conoscere, offrendo oltre ai normali corsi di studio, attività progettuali finalizzate all’ampliamento dell’offerta formativa e al conseguimento di certificazioni riconosciute a livello internazionale e titolo preferenziale per l’iscrizione alle Università e l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro.
Scopo dell’Istituto è di assicurare ad ogni alunno una formazione che gli permetta di acquisire sia i saperi fondamentali che i punti di riferimento indispensabili per l’esercizio della cittadinanza attiva.
L’Istituto fa riferimento ai documenti elaborati dalla Commissione Europea facendo leva sull’esigenza di dare uno spessore etico all’obiettivo di «educare nella e alla democrazia».
La scuola si presenta:
Compito della scuola è, e resta, la creazione di ambienti idonei all’apprendimento tali da creare una comunità di discenti e docenti impegnati nell’analisi e nell’approfondimento degli oggetti di studio e nella costruzione di saperi condivisi. Cruciale è la qualità delle esperienze.
La scuola rientra nella più ampia tradizione degli Istituti Tecnici Economici della nostra formazione, attraverso il settore economico con gli indirizzi: amministrazione, finanza, marketing, servizi informativi aziendali, relazioni internazionali per il marketing e l’indirizzo turistico.
L’istituto unisce i saperi esperienziali con quelli teorici attraverso l’alternanza scuola-lavoro e gli stages aziendali e linguistici. Inoltre, ha inserito nel proprio curriculum formativo le nuove certificazioni linguistiche, l’ECDL; la partecipazione ai certamen di economia aziendale, al progetto Comenius 2012, alle olimpiadi della matematica e ai campionati internazionali di giochi matematici.
La scuola collabora, attraverso accordi di rete e convenzioni con altre istituzioni scolastiche del territorio, con la facoltà di Ingegneria ambientale dell’università di Latina, con l’Ordine dei Commercialisti della provincia di Latina, con la Banca d’Italia, con la Federalberghidi Latina e con la rete “Educare all’Europa”.
