Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore ”Vittorio Emanuele II – Ruffini”

La scuola si presenta:
La storia del Vittorio Emanuele II di Genova comincia nel 1846 come uno dei primi Istituti Politecnici del Regno di Sardegna. Nel 1859 la scuola venne inserita nell’ambito dell’Istruzione Superiore in base alla Legge Casati e nel 1865 trasferita nel Palazzo Rostan, in Largo della Zecca, dove ancora si trova.
L’Istituto può considerarsi il “padre” di alcuni importanti Istituti di Genova: nel 1921 la sezione Nautica divenne l’Istituto Nautico S. Giorgio, nel 1923 la sua sezione Fisico-Matematica diede origine al Liceo Scientifico Cassini, nel 1967 la sezione Geometri costituì l’Istituto Tecnico per Geometri Buonarroti.
Dall’anno scolastico 1995/96 al Vittorio Emanuele II è stato aggregato un altro importante Istituto tecnico commerciale del centro città: l’I.T.C. “M. Tortelli”, sorto nel 1918. Nell’anno scolastico 2000-2001, dall’unione con l’Istituto professionale “J. Ruffini”, è nata la struttura denominata Istituto Superiore Commerciale “Vittorio Emanuele II – Ruffini”.

L’istituto superiore commerciale “Vittorio Emanuele II – Ruffini” è un Istituto di Istruzione Superiore. Accoglie gli alunni provenienti dalla scuola media inferiore e dà accesso al mondo del lavoro o dell’università.
La nostra offerta formativa consente agli alunni di scegliere aree ed indirizzi di studio specializzati, in preparazione ai molteplici settori del mondo del lavoro ed alla varietà degli indirizzi universitari.
Con il riordino dell’istruzione secondaria superiore, sono presenti istruzione tecnica e uno di istruzione e formazione professionale con sezioni operanti presso case circondariali di Marassi e di Pontedecimo e corsi serali.
